A multi-week production in New Zealand capturing photography and video for Backcountry’s first ever outerwear launch. Product varied across several snow sports disciplines and the production followed suit utilizing ski areas, backcountry touring, and helicopters to create appropriate environments and situations.

FIELD NOTES

September 17, 2018 — Caught the tail end of the Southern Hemisphere winter for this project and thankfully, there was still plenty of snow in the alpine. Needed to really show the versatility of the outerwear, so ended up working with local ski resorts and heli operators to get our talent and crew into some areas that made sense. New Zealand has so much potential for this kind of shoot, hoping to get back for another one. -IW
